Doesn't it seem like a huge conflict of interest that Urban Engineering has any involvement in doing work, free or otherwise, when VEDC money is being used to fund the projects?
If Urban does the preliminary work does that give them the upper hand to being awarded the final project?
There are safety measures that could have been used to prevent this from happening, it's called common sense.
ReplyDeleteAs a father, my children were warned about the dangers of being in isolated areas after dark, even daylight doesn't mean you are safe.
With a call box you have to get to the box to activate it and they are often targets of vandals so no guarantee of any additional protection.
Yes I feel bad for this woman but her own actions could have prevented this as much as anything else that could have been done.
Evil people will do evil things regardless.
